TEXAS, USA — Texas high school football has turned the page from the regular season and the playoffs, and we're counting down until 12 state champions are crowned at AT&T Stadium. The state championships run from Dec. 17 to Dec. 20. Here is a schedule: 1A Six-Man Division 1 - 11 a.m. 1A Six-Man Division 2 - 2 p.m.

Here are highlights and scores from the four playoff football games in our area. Blountstown played in the rural state championship and three Georgia teams hosted semifinal games.

For the first time in the 16-team era, the Big 12 Championship Game is a rematch. BYU and Texas Tech played for the first time in Lubbock on Nov. 8, a dominant 29-7 victory for the Red Raiders. Running back Cameron Dickey rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown in a breakout performance against the Cougars.
